Sohmweyr

This small town contains almost exclusively tabaxi, though they are welcoming enough to visitors who are willing to make the journey to their remote location. Youngsters in town are known for sneaking out to a ruin within a few days travel as a rite of passage - partly as an act of teenage rebellion and partly in the hopes of landing some cool or valuable relics.   The town has several dwellings that don't have permanent residents, since a lot of the tabaxi find traveling suits them. These accommodations are relatively rough tents and available for use by anyone who won't make trouble, particularly if they have tales to tell, wares to sell, or money to spend (though most with the means stay in the common house).   The town's southwest palisade is built atop an earthen wall about 5' high. It's always a little moist.   Much of the town's youth ends up joining the circus for a year or two, either as a performer, staff, or a messenger between the circus and the town. Most others leave for other wide-ranging pursuits, such as scavenging or caravanning. As a result, most of the town's permanent residents are:
  1. Too young to be out in the world on their own,
  2. #1's parents/caregivers, or
  3. retired from life out in the wide world.
