Swift Runner

A long and narrow ship in good repair, with no oars and a shallow draft. Its figurehead depicts a young elven woman in full sprint, holding a scroll ahead of her.

  • It's known as being a very fast ship, usually hired as a scout or to look for other missing vessels (or their survivors).
  • It doesn't carry much cargo volume, usually high-value small footprint stuff (coin, manufactured goods).
  • It avoids getting raided by outrunning pirates rather than fighting.
  • The crew is very loyal, and the captain rarely hires new sailors.
The party contracted this vessel on 8th Leafbreak (Session 23). They accepted the terms of the deal effective 9th Leafbreak (Session 24), paying half a day's cost (5g per day) to stay in port until they're ready to leave.   The ship remains in port until 10th Leafbreak, costing 5 gp.   The ship makes way toward the mouth of the River Wander, costing 10 gp per day until it reaches the river mouth. Captain Konos Suhlunsath estimates 3 days travel for this leg of the journey. This is anticipated to cost 30 gp.   The ship will then wind its way up the Wander to Sohmweyr, conditions permitting. This leg of the journey will cost 7 gp per day, and is estimated to take 4 days (if it can be completed with the condition of the river). This is anticipated to cost 28 gp.
