The Ageless Sea

The Ageless Sea is the domain that Iathis calls home. It's a place of endless pleasures and indulgence. Colorful seaglass lines the shores of its many beaches, twinkling in the bright sunlight that never seems to set. Water is bountiful here, but there is enough land for the plane's residents to reside. Alcoves rest beside the ocean and caves run through the cliffsides, providing a place to relax that overlooks a beautiful view. Treasures of all sorts lay hidden throughout, left behind by dimensional travelers and sometimes even Iathis himself. Parties break out constantly, filling the plane with exciting sounds and smells, as well as wine.
Time doesn't pass on the Ageless Sea, making it the perfect getaway for mages who have failed to achieve immortality through other means. While solitude is discouraged, it isn't impossible to live in isolation. Those with cruel hearts who think they've found away to escape judgement will find themselves sadly mistaken when Iathis' hunters drag them out of hiding. They may have escaped justice on the material plane, but particularly awful crimes won't go unnoticed by the god. These corrupted beings are transported to an eerie corner of the plane known as "The Drop", where they're tossed into the raging waves below.
Denizens of the plane include swam maidens, prydanu, bralani, and the souls of catfolk who were forgotten by society. With no one to remember them, Iathis has taken it upon himself to provide a joyous resting place for them, as well as a sense of community. Courageous souls who find themselves out of place and without a challenge in The Painted World are sent to the Ageless Sea as well, where after some time, they join the ranks of the bralani azatas.
Much like the Painted World, the Ageless Sea has a plethora of wildlife roaming about. Those that call the plane home take on days long hunts for the sheer thrill of it or take up adventuring to see everything it has to offer. Beneath the waves is a crystalline palace guarded by several gemstone colored sharks. Iathis and his archangel, Althaia, reside here and often throw wild parties that other chaotic and good-aligned deities attend. Those who are not of divine status are not allowed within the palace.

History

The plane was a gift to Iathis from Junori when he first ascended to godhood. She wanted something to mirror her own plane, a place that could reflect another reality that she could watch over. Iathis happily accepted her gift and with her blessing, he filled her painting of the sea with things that people would want and desire for. While the Painted World was calm and peaceful, the Ageless Sea quickly turned into a chaotic mess, but Junori found it to be a splendor nonetheless.
