Argos
History
One of the oldest settlements of Greek history, Argos is the home of the Argive Dynasty. This Dynasty started the Mycenean civilization and produced some of the most famous demi-gods of its era. Nestled in the Agrarian Hills, the town built is economy of the sale of gems and metals from the many mines located within the Agrarian Hills. Argos lies at the feet of the Parnassus Mountains and its people have dedicated a large portion of the town to the Ancestral Gods and Patriarchy. One of the main responsibilities for the settlement is to interact and trade with the Dwarven City State of Panfalduhr, and this has not been without setbacks. Small skirmishes break out time to time over the rights over the mountain lands of the Parnassus. The resources gains from mining the mountains are vast, and with the area being one of the few places to mine celestial ore, Gorgo's has to keep and eye on what is actually being mined. The governor's sends his family to meet and delegate terms with the family of King Daerdrom Panfaldhur III. Tradition is everything with the Argive family, and the royal family presents themselves in manner favorable to the people of Argos. If the people suffer, they try to help them through or will suffer right next to them. The children of the Argive family are expected to travel the lands of Sparta and the greater realm, to create commerce for Sparta and build diplomacy with the other kingdoms. This has become increasingly difficult with union of the Queen and the king of Aegean League, and even with Governor Inachus warning, Queen Gorgos still wed the Elven King. This has had an adverse affect on the politics of Sparta, as many people believe the Argive Family should take over has the mortal kings of Sparta. The Exodus of Perseus and Zagreus from the city was one of the most important movements in the realm. This has led to the foundation of the Cold Flame, and Zagreus has already taken his new form as Dionysus. Hera in her infinite patience and forgiveness agreed to allow the city to honor their famed heroes, but they would not be allowed to live on the grounds of the town. That lineage would never be allowed to rule over the Argive family, and so she decreed her first born demi-god would be trained and taught to one day be king of the Argive family tree.
