Town of Rhea

Near the edge of the Forest of Pan sits a small town known as the Town of Rhea. According to the information provided to Athens, the Town of Rhea is the smallest recognized settlement in the Crossroads. With very few buildings the town is house more guest than residents, and that entirely due to Rhea. Heroes from across the Crossroads travel to the Town of Rhea with their pregnant wives to give birth. This his one of the major reasons the town is so well defended, and while gods may not directly interfere, they will not hesitate to send their heros to aid the town. Rhea's governor is a male Earth Nymph name Geo, and he watches over the land and people to ensure the safety of those who travel here. His home sits in on wasted of the Rhea, and is the largest building in the town. While the town has had its fair share of issues it has become a beacon of peach and family in the Crossroads. It is well defended against most assaults, and there are multiple alliances that will send aid to the town if need. This fortification was not intended for the pregnant wives, but for Rhea herself.   Rhea is the most sought after and protected god in the realm, and 3 out of 4 divine kingdom have agreed to come to its aid. This because Rhea is the divine kingdoms mother, and it was because of her they were set free. When Rhea betrayed Kronos to save her son, she became an enemy of the Divine Kingdom. The Patriarchy, Atlantis, and Erebus would never allow the Divine Kingdom that pleasure. They have sent heroes, Gods, and Praetors to defend this small town, and gods have mercy on those who create trouble in Rhea. The surrounding forest house the Moonhunters, and they too aid in the protection of Rhea.   When you come into town you would see a 25 ft tall statue of Rhea, and when you look around her feet you would know they are shade lower and appear wore down. This is due to the tradition of rubbing the statues feet for good luck in their pregnancy. Outside of the Mayor's house they have a 2 shops, one for weapons and one for general goods.  There is a small sanctuary to Rhea located behind the mayor's house, this is the birthing pool and most wives bring their children into the world.   It is said that it soothes the pains of giving birth, and allow for a quick recovery.   Places of Interest   The Two Mothers: There are rumors that Rhea was originally born as Cybele a pure and beloved elder god, and when Kronos she was gifted to him.   It was at this point Rhea was  born, this was to allow her to appear more of titan, but in the end made her second to him.    The Shrine of Two mothers honors both of her forms, and acknowledges the sacrifices a mother makes for her family.  It is 25 ft tall, and made of Emerald and Stone, symbolizing the earth and motherhood.    It is located in the center of this town and its presence is said to feel like a mother's hug.   The Turret Crown: The local tavern is the second largest building in the Town.   It is a general goods shop and tavern.   It looks of a cottage in the woods, its mossen roof towers 3 stories above the ground.  The Shopkeeper is a female daemon named Chloë, she is a daemon of Styx and her dark skin is covered with ivory tattoos each one an oath that she has completed.   Her hair is braided and wrapped around her shoulders, and her bright green eyes stand out the most.   Fountain of Iris: One of the Smaller fountains to Iris, but one of the most beautiful and natural looking fountains.   Located at the feet of the Two Mothers, it is green marble with a moss covered stones for people to sit upon.   The women visiting or staying in the town use the fountain to update their husbands on their day.   The Mountain: Named for Rhea, but also the Hero nicknamed the mountain that runs the shop.   This green dragon born looks very old, but at the same time very powerful.    He runs the shop while also keeping an Eye on anyone that comes to town.   Said to be the husband to a goddess, he has a deep relationship with the wilderness and Rhea herself.   It is said that Pan comes to visit often and enjoys a drink or two of his famous drink.    The Inventory of the Mountain is not the most extravagant, but it suit for the wilderness.  There are a wide assortment of bows, arrows, and armor that was forged in Panfalduhr.
Divine Kingdom: The Patriarchy Leader Zeus "Lord of the Sky"   Mortal Kingdom: The Siren's Call Gorgos "The Great Queen"   Demographics:   Population: 30 (25 Human, 2 Praetors,  1 Nereid, 1 Daemon, and 1 Nymph)   Government: Rhea is Ran by Geo, but most citizens have a direct say in the workings of the Town.   Economy: The main economy comes from commerce of local supplies.   The fees associated with aiding and protecting the birth of children goes to keeping the town safe.   Military: The Moonhunters and the town folk protect this town.
Factions:
  • The Moonhunters:  Ran by Sybill is the only factiont that is known to be here.
Important Individuals:
  • The Mountain:  One of the Protectors of the town, he is a former Patron that fell from Grace.   
  • Remus and Romulus:  The first 2 praetors born in the Crossroads.   While they are both white furred, one has red highlights and one blue in the fur.
  • Chloë of Styx:  Most Daemons of Styx are celebrated heroes and some of the respected people in the realm.
  • Leopold:  A local wear cat that loves to play tricks, and has an usual amount of seemingly useless information.
