To defuse potential military intervention in retaliation for the Quiza Station attack, the Iron Code is formed

August 3200: A large group of Pirates were daring enough to raid Quiza Station in the Commonwealth - an act which almost made the full wrath of the Arm of Onditz come down on the pirates in Far Space.   Directly after this event the Iron Code was formed to keep a level of control over piratical activities in the sector, to consolidate their resources and to make sure that they don't anger larger enemies than they can handle. The Iron Code hunted down and executed the pirates responsible for the raid on Quiza Station and released a video of their execution to almost all media outlets in the Commonwealth.
