Green Dragon

King Uther came up with the structure of the dragons and it was based on the Roman Legions.  Green Dragons are always knights and will always be on horseback.  Foot soldiers follow on foot. horse soldiers or Cavalry will be on horses. A Green dragon will always have his squire and any retinue he sees fit to be with him.  In some cases, the green dragon maybe in charge of fangs or feathers. These are units that are 10 soldiers strong. They also can take units the size of Scale, which is 1000 men.  This depends on his skill in battle.  The Green dragons are the backbone of the Order of the Dragon. 
The Green Dragon was the commander of a Claw, which was the smallest unit of the Dragon army. A Dragon Army was nominally composed of 6,000 - 10,000 soldiers, and each Army was divided up into 10 Scales these are commanded by Blue dragons or Red Dragons, with each cohort containing 6 -10 claws.  The Green Dragon a claw, thus nominally commanded about 100 men, and there were 60 -100 Green Dragons in a Dragon Army.

Soldier called Claws

Claws=100 Soldier = 80 standard, 20 support. Fangs=10 soldier=1 Sergant;9 Soldier 10% Vet - Heavy infantry (chain armor) 20% archers -light armor (leather) 70% trained -medium armor (hard leather)
Example: Green Dragon Belis leads 1st claws of the 2nd Scale. 3rd Dragon with a small drake. Which translates to Sir Belis commands 100 soldiers.

• 15 are Mouths: 

• 2 sergeants; 12 soldiers; 1 surgeon.
• 1 surgeon
• 2 medics assist surgeon, 1 medical cart.
• 1 sergeant; 5 soldier (cart drivers 5 carts; 10 horses. (5 Supply carts drivers skilled carts, repair of carts, horsemanship.
• 1 Sergeant; 5 soldiers (cart drivers 1= Repair cart; 4 supply carts. 10 horses.
• 5 are Eyes: scouts. work in pairs both Vet. They are divided into sets; set 1 and set 2; 1 is a vet sergeant and he controls the scouts. Set 1= 2 scouts; short bow; short sword; 2 horses. supplies. they carry 3 days rations.
Claw unit:
• 8 are Heavy Claws. Vet.: chain armor, shield, helmet, shield, sword. 
• 16 are Light claws, 2 units of 8: 1 sergeant, 7 claws.  leather, bow. dagger.
• 56 are claws: these are broken down into smaller squads of 8 claws.  1 sergeant; 7 claws: hard leather, shield, spear. 3 days ration.

Calvery called Wings 

Wings= 100 soldier Feather= 10 soldier=1 Sergant;9 Soldier.  10 Vet - knights ; charger. Sergeant, shield, sword. spear. 20% archer Calvery (no armor riding horse; bow; short sword. 70% spear or lance trained light Calvery(leather) riding horse; shield; short sword.
Reserves = are levy troop = no trained, no armor, basic weapon.  cannon fodder. 
Light - leather armor (leather) spear and shield, sword, bow.  Scouts and irregular troops. Drakes - mercenaries Soldier; size of the unit = small=25, medium=100 and large =1000.  Wyvern - mercenary Calvery. size of the unit = small=25, medium=100 and large =1000.

1. Support elements: 20% of Dragon Army are support units.
2. Mouth = Commissary, cooks, supply. 

• Needed supply per soldier: 1 gallon; 3 meals a day.
• needed supply per horse: 5 gallons; 30lbs of hay.

1. Eyes = Scout, messengers, communications.
2. Dracoride = First Aid, doctors, support.

The Green Dragons form the lower Officers core of the army of Uther.  They are the field officers and leaders of the regular and levy army.
