Taxmaster of the Didacian Consulate
Beckons the Storm, usually known as Bek, is current Loch Admiral and the former Taxmaster of the Didacian Consulte. Beginning his service to the Consulate at an early age, he became the youngest Loch Admiral in history at age 25. Under his guidance, the Reservoir Fleet oversaw a period of economic growth and prosperity for the region. He was later promoted to the civilian role of Taxmaster in 9039, which acted as the civilian oversight of the Reservoir Fleet and the Consulate's financial institutions. While his tenure as Taxmaster has been considered successful, it has been overshadowed by the poor management of the Reservoir Fleet by the subsequent Loch Admiral, Pontar Yaruga.
He has a reputation for his high expectations of those under his supervision. Despite this, he is known to be open and welcoming in conversation. Those under his command while Loch Admiral praised his ability to provide firm but constructive guidance. As Taxmaster, he maintained a work culture for Consulate accountants that emphasized personal growth and development. He is never seen without his lifelong mount, a polar bear named Platina. He was off the island of Tax when Pontar Yaruga launched his coup of the island.
In Low Tide 9048, Parliament authorized the emergency appointment of Bek to the position of Loch Admiral once again to take direct command of the Reservoir Fleet to conduct an urgent mission of relief to the Duchy of Sindar, under invasion from the Crag.
