Letter from Raleth Geleborn to Xilmoira
Lady Xilmoira, It brings me great joy that you are alive, yet I am surprised at how far you have fled from your home. I regret to inform you that Tanyl has been missing for some time now. The last we saw of him was his arrest following your departure. After the Fen occupation, he was nowhere to be found. After the rebellion began and we stormed Vulren's palace, we found no trace of Vulren or Tanyl. It has been long since I last saw him in person. I'm afraid it is safe to assume the worst, unless Vulren happened to flee with him. In which case, death might be preferable. Dour news aside, I am overjoyed at your survival. The rebellion has allowed us an opportunity to rebuild without hierarchies. Without one elf ruling over another. Just as Lady Lorthr’ten told our forebears all those eons ago. You are welcome to join us when you can. I know you are honorable and care for the people. However, there will be no place for kings or queens here. If you return, you shall return as an equal. Nothing more, nothing less. We fear for the return of a Fen occupation. You and your bow would help us well. Whatever you choose, I will respect it. All power to all the people. Raleth Geleborn of the Free Lorthr’ten Peoples
