The Liar and the Visionary

Named after the play of the same name by renowned playwright Faustus Kellodon of Dustedmanc, The Liar and the Visionary is a Plentius-Class assault frigate constructed by Harwick Trade Company's War Division, and is the personal flagship of CEO of Harwick Trade Gendo Harwick. The ship is equipped with the most advanced magical and technological advances made by Harwick Trade in the last century, and is capable of destroying ships three times its size with minimal effort. It has engaged in skirmishes with Fen forces off the coast of Hi Ba where it is normally stationed. While the Fen navy is considered mediocre at best, the Visionary's universal success rate at sea is considered a testament to its advanced nature. The Union of Free Cities has requested authorization to purchase the next Plentius-class vessel to be constucted, however the Harwick Board has not responded to this request.
Gendo Harwick rarely is seen onboard and leaves its first officer, Bridgett Goodberry, as the de facto captain. The minimal required staff leaves the ship appearing to be fully unmanned at times to casual observers. Fen seamen apparently view it as a ship of the dead, and avoid traveling into waters it patrols, giving the Hi Ba Lowlands a relative reprieve from their wars of conquest.
Rumors are swirling that Gendo Harwick is planning to deploy it on a mission, but its planned destination and goal are unknown.

Propulsion

The ship, being part of the line of Harwick Trade's partially magically automated warships, is capable of generating its own wind through specialized enchantments anchored just behind its sails. The sails can be directed in any direction and the wind can be intensified or weakened by the will of the helmsman. It can reach a top speed of 50knots at open sea, potentially one of the fastest constructed objects in history.

Weapons & Armament

The Liar and the Visionary is armed with a series of six cannons, reverse engineered from Ren explosive firearms. The cannons, while not as effective as those manufactured on Ren, are capable of destroying structures, ships, and humanoids alike. Each cannon requires a 5 minute loading sequence before firing, as such all cannons are loaded and ready to fire on command for an effective opening volley.
Additionally, the ship is armed with an array of harpoon launchers, grappling spears, and magical projectile funnels through which magic users can channel their spells.

Hangars & docked vessels

The ship holds a small three-crew single sail interceptor schooner within its lower decks. A revolutionary launching gate is incorporated under the ship's prow from which the interceptor can be quickly deployed into combat before the Liar and the Visionary takes on any water. The interceptor is used to harass enemy ships while the Visionary engages fully.
