Vortallax Worship in Hrim

After The Abandonment of the region by the Final Kingdom, the culture of the Hrim region became centered almost entirely on opposition to structured systems. Evolving trends saw the rise of Vortallax worship as a means to cast off the structures of the past and build something far more resistive in nature. The people of Hrim's towns worship Vortallax in a fashion which attempts to entreat her favor against the raging wastes of the Greysky Peninsula and to resist the Kingdom and Crag's incursions on their territory. Inhabitants of the Hrim Wastes instead take a far more intense approach, viewing her domain and its strength over nature as a means to justify atrocities and cruelty.   Across the tundra and taiga of Hrim, shale monoliths are visible symbols of reverence for Vortallax. The inherently fragile nature of the shale makes the monoliths susceptible to weathering, leaving them in a constantly crumbling state. It is believed by some that the shape which they form into is a representation of the current state of reality and to the possible futures. Heretical Augurs exiled to Hrim have been known to attempt to use the monoliths as a way to divine the future, in a way finding a way to best succumb to the Churn.    The drow Gerrion Relactia has been compared to Vortallax due to her intense ferocity in resisting outside influence on the region. Much to her protestations, many have begun to claim she is Mantling the very essence of Vortallax and will be the physical conduit through which the people of Hrim will influence Perradin and tear down systems which have inhibited the destinies of mortals. It is under this banner which many of the disparate militias of Hrim unified to wage a full scale war with the Final Kingdom in 9047. Many of the more superstitious believe that if this bears any merit, then Relactias armies threaten stability across all Perradin.
