Lycanthropy

The diesease of the beasts, ancient and unyielding. Lycanthropy is transmitted by violent contact with a lycanthrope. Those who survive such an encounter, are then bound to curse until it is removed, if possible, or their death.
The most common form of lycanthropy—as suggested by the root lycan—is that of the werewolves.
