Gin, Rivia, and Althea's eyes were immediately drawn to the five neatly arranged chests. The room is filled with anticipation as the adventurers, fueled by greed and curiosity, approach the promising treasures that lay before them.
Gin steps forward without hesitation; his fingers deftly select a silver chest to unlock. Althea, equally undeterred, stands guard, her sharp eyes scanning the surroundings with a confidence born of experience. In their eagerness, however, neither Gin, Rivia, nor Althea takes the time to scrutinize the chest.
Ignoring the potential dangers, Gin hastily employs his lockpicking tools, and as the silver chest creaks open, a sudden hiss fills the chamber. A poisonous gas cloud erupts from within, catching both adventurers off guard.

Coughing and choking, their vision blurred, the adventurers struggle to comprehend the unfolding danger. The realization of their oversight hits them with a cruel intensity. Panic sets in as they desperately attempt to cover their noses and mouths, but the toxic fumes prove overwhelming.
The poisoned cloud spreads, enveloping the room and seeping into their lungs. Gin and Althea falter in their impaired state, unable to reseal the chest or disperse the deadly mist. The once-promising chamber becomes a trap, and their pursuit of wealth transforms into a dire fight for survival.

Gin, Rivia, and Althea stumble backward as the poison takes its toll, forced to abandon the tainted treasures within the depths of Axeholm Fortress. The chamber, now filled with the ominous echoes of their coughs and gasps, stands as a haunting reminder of the perils that accompany reckless curiosity.
The adventurer's retreat, humbled and weakened, vowing to approach the hidden caches of Axeholm Fortress with greater caution in the future.
