Basanos

The Dwarven city deep below Eldarcarak, the dwarves that live here are rarely seen above ground. What is known about the city is that it is named for it's Idol, Basanos and that it is situated next to the main magma chamber of the volcano. There are some traders, that come to the surface with all manner of gemstones and with carvings made with the basalt of the volcano. There are also occasionally dwarves who come up to Glassville to take the waters in the hotsprings, these tend to be elderly or infirm dwarves but the gnomes that run the baths have a long-standing policy of allowing the Basanosans to bath in silence.

The few things the Basanosans trade are geodes of great beauty and basalt carvings. The basalt appears to be carefully cooled in various stages to create fantastic strength and durability.
