Eldarcarak

Eldarcarak is the last active volcano on Valsaga . Located near the centre of Imya, it is amongst the mountains of that region and is mostly indistinguishable from them. Under the surface, though, it is very different. The dwarven city of Basanos is located close to the caldera of the volcano and is one of the reasons why the volcano hasn't errupted in living memory. The dwarves harness the magma to run their city with the help of their Idol , although few outsiders have seen the city. The people of Basanos have tempers as hot as their home and even the most diplomatic members of their city- the traders, are incredibly hard to get on with.
In the moutains above, though, the area is very popular. There is a gnomish village built into an old lava tube that tends to the hot springs that run up the side of the volcano. Glassville, as its inhabitants call it, makes quite a lot of money from people who come to take the waters at Eldarcarak. They even have a paternoster that runs up the side of the mountain to assist those who can't walk up the narrow path to the village.
