Guildmaster

Guildmasters are usually retired adventurers, although there are more than a few that are still actively adventuring. Almost all guildmasters are attuned to the Artefact that is the focus and namesake of the guild. All guildmasters in Antruin, Kingdom of Guilds are required to be members of the Council of Guilds, lest their guild be considered outlaws, however attendance at Council meetings is not compulsory and, in reality, most don't attend regularly.

Requirements

Must have been an adventurer in good standing for 5 years, must be the attuned owner of an Artefact.

Appointment

Since the founding of Antruin, Kingdom of Guilds, all guildmasters in the kingdom are appointed by the King at the formation of the guild or upon the death of the previous guildmaster (assuming the guild was able to retrieve the Artefact).

Duties

A guildmaster's duty is foremost to their guild, they must care for their guildmates wellbeing. Secondly their duty is to the King and to the Council, they must follow the laws and orders set down.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Because of the link between Artefact and guildmaster, it is generally impossible to dismiss one. It is standard practice to remove a guildmaster from power, therefore, by outlawing his guild. Usually the adventurers from that guild leave to join others, leaving the guildmaster hunted by their former colleagues.
