O'Malley is described as a man of average height and extremely muscular build, with a leathery and unkempt face. He is blonde, with pale skin.

Personal history

Harald was born second of three to two miners on Moonfall. There is no record of him attending grammar school. It seems Harald was not eager to follow in his parent’s footsteps because he enlisted with a civilian freighter ship in 5324 and completed a long shipping journey from Moonfall, to Torrent, to Darkyard, and back again. He ran this run until 5327, when tariffs caused the owner of the merchant house to consolidate freighters and O’Malley’s leg of the run was canceled, and he returned to Moonfall. There is record of a marriage in 5328 shortly after his return, and by 5329 he had re-enlisted as a crewman, this time with the JNS Fleet.

Employment

Harald was aboard the Mistress when she fled the Thrasher system. Like the majority of crewmen he abandoned the Mistress once the ship reached Freeport 13, but he was part of the minority of personnel that made a return to the ship before it left dock - little is known why a select few of the personnel returned. He is currently believed to be aboard the mistress, in orbit of Tiber.
