House Jenet Navy

Structure

The JNS is divided into 3 main branches, all report to the Admiral as the final commander-in-chief The Navy itself is self evident - warships to patrol, escort and eliminate threats. Under the Admiral are the
  1. Formation Captains - these act as fleet commanders for the missions the JNS performs.
  2. Frigate Captains - The highest ship commander rank, through at the height of the JNS there is only 1 Frigate in service
  3. Escort Captains - The multitude of Sloops and corvettes are commanded by Captains of this rank =
  4. Schooner Captains - The lightest schooners are captained often by younger men and woman who's bodies are more capable of handling the stress of high-speed combat
The Logistic branch handles the freighters and tankers that are the lifeblood of the Moonfall Economy - transfers between the navy branch and the logisitic branch are not unheard of - though can be seen as an insult to a combat captain if they are made to command a cargo brig.
  1. Commandant - The highest rank of the logistic branch, commandants oversee warehouses dockyards, wholesale purchasing and supplying the fleet
  2. Freighter Captain - The ship commanders of the Logisitc branch, they have overall command of the logistic vessel they command
  3. Purchasing Agent - A specially appointed Purser who negotiates acqusistions in the name of the feet rather than just a single ship
  4. Purser - an embedded logistic officer who serves aboard ships to acquire the required goods to maintain the vessel and it's crew
The Marine Corp is the soldiering arm of the JNS - Almost all warshpis have a few marines on board to repel boarders and stiffen the crew when assaulting enemy ships. The JNS maintains a bridage of roughly 1000 Marines split between Ship duty, Station duty, and special assignment
  1. General - the leader of the Marine Corps, they oversee the whole corp and report directly to the Admiral
  2. Battalion leaders - The 1st Battalion leader is also the second in command of the Marine corp
  3. Company commanders - Captains of the Marines oversee units roughly 100 man strong
  4. Platoon commanders - The lieutenants of the Marines are sometimes recruited for house guard duty.
