Part 18: Rocky Roads

General Summary

As the group arrives in Scherzo, nothing but misfortune and destruction befalls them. From arrival, the eerie nature of Scherzo drew the attention of our party. This prompted Jasper to send out his Pokémon to scout out his hometown. During the scout, Shiny was captured by an unknown force. Jasper's shock summoned an unknown cave-dwelling horde to attempt to capture the group, absconding off with Jasper to the deep depths of the Labyrinth. This group was later revealed to be the corpses of Scherzo's people, made thralls by the legendary Zygarde. In an effort to save her companions, Layla returned Koji to the surface before dropping into Zygarde's lair, being swallowed by the great beast. 
Attempting to see what has happened to their fellow travelers, the remaining party descends into the caverns below, a sleeping Zygarde in the caverns. Koji investigates the cavernous space, finding the carcass of a Lugia. His shock causes him to yell, awakening the other Zygarde who attacks Koji. In a desperate last resort, Koji utilizes his gifts of Celebi, angering the Zygarde and causing him to be marked for death by the great serpents.
