A Thenian citizen from Scherzo, Jasper is a timid and kind young cave-dweller who travels as part of The Phalanx to put an end to Necrozma's rampage. His skills involve extensive survival skills and vast knowledge on various subjects, being able to build Pokeballs and tinker with machines for a short time in order to understand their intended use. Jasper's lived with his parents all of his life until the Blinding, where he fell into a two-year coma with the rest of Phalanx. It its later revealed that his parents were sacrificed, along with the rest of the population of Scherzo, for a ritual to create a Spiritomb for Team Accel's elusive schemes.
His primary partner Pokémon is Shiny, a mischievous Sableye who is undoubtedly loyal to him. It is capable of Mega Evolution, but has yet to display it due to hearing the rumors of how dangerous it could be. Also in his roster is a shiny Charizard with immense battle prowess named Igneous Rex (Iggy for short.) Iggy also carries the Flame Plate, amplify its inherent Fire typing. He also added a shiny Ariados to his team, taking it With these two Pokémon in tow, Jasper has a wide arsenal at his disposal that make anything but helpless.

Personal history
Raised in the wilderness by parents with an "alternative lifestyle," they now live in a cave making trinkets out of gems and garbage. They rarely leave for society but do it when necessary. He mentions during his time with his parents that while he knows of the Thenian Pantheon, it's mainly through obsure stories and things that his parents would tell him sayings and explanations that weren't exactly inline with society's. His partner Pokemon acts as a aide, looking after Jasper in their absence. After the Blinding, they formed The Phalanx with four fellow Trainers to undertake the mission of bringing peace to Thenia. Since then they have faced both mortal and divine adversaries alike.
With the information of his parents' fate, Jasper takes on a more melancholy mentality. He takes up drinking after getting some Scherzian Wine; staying away from the alternate dimension Scherzo in fear of seeing his home and/or his family alive and well.

History
After a battle with Storm, Astral's Eevee, Darkrai appeared to place a Mark for Death upon Jasper. While attempting to pursue him, the Legendary Pokemon was sealed within a statue. Later, the statue that is later revealed as a Totem has Darkrai sealed within, with no clear sign of winning resistance. The Nightmare Pokemon escapes its confines along with Dialga, the God of Time. After being defeated by Phalanx, Darkrai later acts as the prosecutor at the Celestial Trial, where the adventuring party stood accused of committing crimes while trying to handle Necrozma.
