Part 4: Battle of Beasts

General Summary

After enjoying a free night's rest at the Sleepy Snorlax, the party selected Koji and Frank as the Double Battle participants. Prior to that, they all worked together to assist the tribe in gathering resources that had been depleted by wild Pokémon. Koji and Astral help with food, Frank remained his room, and the rest spread out to undertake other tasks. After dedicating time to training before the upcoming fight, the moment arrives.
Both Phineas and Layla await Frank and Koji at the arena area, immediately diving into battle with few words exchanged. Frank, Avum, Koji, and Zoury all fought valiantly, assisting one another to take down Phineas' Liepard and Layla's Xatu. Just when it seemed like it was all over, Phineas pulled out a trump card - a Pokémon that was unfamiliar to Thenia. Frank recognized this Pokemon as the Ultra Beast Poipole, the Poison Point Pokémon. This unexpected turn of events led to Frank and Avum being knocked out, the unknown Pokémon seemingly gaining more power after doing so. Koji switched out Zoury for his Pawniard Riven, knowing well that Poison-types do not affect Steel-type Pokémon. With swift execution, Koji and Riven claw their way to victory.

After the battle was over, the air became tense as Astral interrogated Phineas. Phineas hesitantly gave in to the channeler's requests, allowing them to view Poipole's memories. Astral questioned whether the UBs were actually dangerous beings, or just like any other Pokémon.
