Isonagiee Clan (Is-a-nog-ee)
The Isonagiee Clan was a rather large portion of the Polarian Rebels long before the war started against Terracom. The Isonagiees were one of the first clans to directly engage in combat and counter tactics against Terracom, just as they were one of the first to make full use of Leray magic, once the Polarium Veil powered back up again from the effects of the burst. The clan was best at diplomacy and coordinated with team efforts from the other clans, and remained in operation even after Jaxro abandoned the fight.
One year into direct magical combat, all sides on the rebel faction sustained heavy losses of life, especially from Isonagiee, given they were more involved in the distant fighting than all other clans. Gradually, concerns from within surfaced to the Elder Chief regarding the future of the people living in Polarium compared to the weight of the sacred land itself. Many wanted to forfeit from the fight and flee the country for the preservation of their own lives, while many wanted to stay and continue the never-ending battle. This mentality was strong enough to split the Isonagiee Clan into two, as half the populous tried to leave and abandon their calling in the middle of the war.
Near the end of 1973, the Isonagiee Clan dissolved, with half their members being absorbed into other clans, though not with welcoming arms.
Culture
One defining culture of all Polarium clans is how they burry and mark their dead. Large totem poles are handcrafted and decorated by those in the respective villages, with the person of interest etched into the top stone of the totem. The totem is then placed into the ground in a designated location used as a grave site, whether the body is available for burial or not. These totems are a major part of the Polarian lifestyle of those in all clans.
Disbandment
The Isonagiee Clan dissolved in 1973, after gradual infighting among its own clan members. The war was already in motion, showing everybody the intense horrors of the battlefield despite bringing magical assistance to the efforts. The Isonagiee Elder Chief did not want to follow in the footsteps of the Jaxro Clan, whom were branded as deserters when they dissolved in 1972. However, half of the Isonagiee Clan by the end of 1973 no longer found the war to be worth the risk to their lives among seeing the stronger might of Terracom. So, those people left Polarium and deserted the war. The remaining half were left divided and straggled by the change in internal leadership and support. The Elder Chief struggled to maintain the clan afterwards, and her diplomatic relations with the other clans fell apart when news of the desertion spread outwards. The split was considered to be a personal failure of the Isonagiee Elder Chief, who desperately tried to revive the numbers and allegiance to the Isonagiee Clan. Having no luck, the Elder Chief decided to step down from her position, remaining in the country as an ordinary villager.
The resulting chaos from her decision caused the eventual collapse of the Isonagiee Clan, while most of the remaining members became absorbed by combinations of the other clans. Isonagiee was just as well branded as traitors and deserters, much like the Jaxro Clan was when they voluntarily left the country in 1972. Despite this, Isonagiee is well known for its "attempted" effort in the fight against Pharacorp, though many other clan members do not treat the absorbed Isonagiee warriors with kind regards given the spoiled reputation.
Mythology & Lore
The clans of the Polarian Rebels all worship the origin and teachings of the Soulfront Runes, and trace this knowledge back to the mysteries of the forgotten children. How much they know or how they know is a mystery.
