Raven Queen

The Raven Queen is the current goddess of death, winter, and fate. Also called the Matron of Death, Queen of Winter, and Our Lady of Fate. She is actively worshipped in the Northern Kingdoms, but has dominion over all the souls of the dead from Zameen and across the Planes. Oftentimes, she appears as a towering woman wearing dark, veiled robes and a crown.
Not much is known about her rise to divinity. There is evidence in some legends that there have been previous gods of each of the domains the Raven Queen now holds sway over. Some rumors suggest that she was once an elven queen who went to great lengths to acquire power and was banished to the Shadowfell along with her entire kingdom by the gods. Not much else is known about her past.
Her Fortress of Memories currently resides in the city of Gloomwrought, tucked away among dark, jagged mountain peaks. There she sees to the souls of the unsorted dead, served by the Order of the Raven Queen and her host of Angels of the Night.
