Steward Gerfried Simon von Corbenik

The current Steward of the Grail and leader of the Order of the Grail. Though not active in many public pursuits, his main priority is and always will be protecting The Holy Grail.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Long retired from the battlefield, he relies on Luitgard to take care of military matters. Ever since he was injured falling off his horse, his left leg has become painful to walk on. His sedentary lifestyle has smoothed down the edge he used to have in both senses and combat ability.

He has 3 daughters, 3 sons and a wife. 
His wife is named Walburga, aged 61. She helps him around the house and finds it very easy to make him laugh. 
Gerfried's eldest daughter, Adelheid (or "Elke", as she was fondly called) died when she was 16 years old. He still finds the loss difficult to cope with. 
His eldest son, Adalbert, is now 35 years old and the Warden of Listeneise. He inherited Gefried's sense of humour but has a bleak outlook on life. His son resents that even in death, Adelheid gets more love and attention from him. 
Luitgard is his second daughter and the Order Legionnaire, helping her father on the foreign front. She's the most devoted to him and his ideals out of all his children, though Gerfried's attention is absorbed by his work. 
His second son, Rodrick, was taken hostage by the Council of Camelan as part of a long and painful peace agreement. Though he's allowed to send and receive letters from Rodrick, it's hard for either of them to relate to each other as father and son.  
Pascal von Corbenik, his third son, is now 16 and currently training in the Order of the Grail as a knight. He's asked Gerfried many times to leave as soon as he graduates, however. 
Swanhilde, the youngest of all the family, is only aged 8. Not related by blood, Gerfried adopted her on behalf of a family friend who died in battle. Though her birth family is still a mystery, she was raised knowing Gerfried as her father.
