The Glenguard

The Glenguard are a group of people tasked with maintaining patrolling the Faeholt, a portion of the country of Alain, and the fringes of Camelan. Their primary concern is with public safety, mostly from Beasts in the Southern Beastwilds, and the prosperity of their people.   Often labelled as disenfranchised wanderers, they stalk the borders of Camelan territory and protect whomever they come across in need. People who live far from these territories are rarely aware of their existence.   The organisation was founded by Sir Baudwin, but has grown into its own ethnic culture known as the Glau.

Culture

They follow Sir Baudwin's self-inflicted values as well as their own, but the most significant are the Three Oaths. These prevent Glaue from refusing to help those less fortunate and dissuade them from greed. It also encouraged a culture of fearlessness, especially important when it comes to facing the hitherto under-researched monstrosities of the southern regions.

Public Agenda

Their goal is to keep the balance between nature and civilisation, making sure neither interfere with the other. Though in the Council of Camelan they are unsung heroes against the Beasts of the Southern Beastwilds, they aren't beholden to the Council's every whim. They also work with Alain and those calling the Faeholt home to achieve their aims.
