Inundation (In-un-day-shon)

The Inundation is caused by the natural processes which keep the Korvas Vortex spinning. The event is a determent towards civilization in the northern hemisphere and a significant reason why most advanced civilizations are clustered around the sheltered southern inland seas.

Manifestation

The Inundation is a series of severe tsunami events which occur over the course of several hours. The number and frequency of significant waves is never more then 12 or less then 3. These waves can vary in size in addition to number; typically the more waves caused by an inundation, the smaller the wave.

Localization

Inundations can occur on any of the land masses surrounding Korvas Vortex, but are most severely felt in the Snaleshi Swamps.
The waves are generally not a hindrance for sea going vessels, but do make building seaside port cities nearby impossible in the regions in which it occurs.
