History
The land of Memphia is an ancient land. Memphia was settled by a mix of Tabaxi and Leonin during the first era and grew into a large and powerful nation with a distinct culture due to a lack of outside contact during this era. Near the end of the first era, Memphia was came into contact with the rapidly expanding Perisian Empire. Although the details are unknown, it was eventually conquered by the Perisian Empire due to it's wealth.
During the second era, Memphia would prove to be the most important province of the Perisian Empire. This is because of the massive amount of food and unique dyes that were both available from the region; in addition to the population. Only the capital of the empire had more people and was of higher value then the Memphia. This made Memphia a constant focus during the many civil wars that the empire underwent.
Memphia was nearly destroyed during the events of the third era, every city except Tyrn was destroyed in the calamity. Despite the devastation, Memphia was liberated from the control of the Perisian Empire during this era due to it being destroyed.
The beginning of the fourth era saw the rediscovery of Memphia in both a figurative and literal sense. Traditions which had been suppressed by the Perisians were reintroduced and the ruins of cities which lay in ruin were explored. This rebirth would last several hundred years and nearly to modern day. Memphia was recently conquered by the Dawn Empire who seek to integrate it into their nation and thus brought to an end this era of self rule. Only Tyrn stands defiant to this newest conquest.
