Snaleshi
To be a Snaleshi one must be born and raised in the Snaleshi Swamps. That is the first and only prerequisite. There are also three major subgroups of Snaleshi; the Lizardfolk the Yuan-Ti and the Loxodon.

Culture
Major language groups and dialects
The most commonly spoken language is Loxodon, Lizard and Common. Lizard is the traditional language of the region, spoken by the Lizardfolk and Yuan-Ti. Loxodon is a new language, having arrived with a large refugee population. Common is a result of the conquest attempts undertaken by the Perisian empire.
Shared customary codes and values
The majority of Snaleshi fallow the Tenets of Snalesh; believing that the teachings of the Spirit of Snalesh are the truth to living a good life.
The Loxodon are an exception, as they follow their own unique traditions.
Average technological level
The Swamps are notably less developed then most regions of Potestatem, hardly more advanced then the various peoples found in the Jungles of Foisham.
Ideals
Beauty Ideals
Snaleshi see beauty in simplicity. A stable home, which will not be taken away by the Inundation, is itself a luxury. What art is used is often to ornament the various buildings and walls of buildings; lining these buildings with ribbons of green.
Gender Ideals
Gender identity is not strictly observed in the Swamps. The harsh life of the Snaleshi Swamps has disavowed such bigotry in favor of brutal pragmatism.
Relationship Ideals
Familial bonds are important to the Snaleshi. Both homesteaders and city dwellers must rely upon their families and friends to stick by them in the poorly governed region. The Tenets of Snalesh further reinforce this ideal, since large governmental action isn't feasible in the region.
