Creation Guidelines
Anything beyond this list may be possible if you speak with the DM to help figure out how they fit into the campaign.
    • Abilities: Point Buy or Standard Array.
    • Alignment: Any non-evil.
    • Races: PHB Races except Tiefling..
    • Classes: PHB classes. Other classes may be available.
    • Level: 3rd level. Players may 'exchange' a level for some other Boon such as a particularly powerful magic item, rare race or class, or other advantage.
  • HP: Max up to 3rd level. See Hit Points for more details.
    • Familiars, pets, mounts, etc: Any non-planar allowed within the rules.
    • Deities: Several are available under Religion Overview. If you're looking for something that's not there, speak to the DM.
    • Backgrounds: Very flexible within the champagin setting. Anything that might impart a playable benefit needs to be approved and may come with a hidden penelty. That is, if your background is that you are the prodical son of a wealthy merchant and can tap into resources, expect a rival family to oppose you out of nowhere.
    • Broken characters: If you're dead set on playing a Half-Elf Hexblade Warlock/Paladin you had better have a great reason why this won't degerate into a single player looter/shooter.
The Challenge: Read the Quickstart Intro . Whoever and whatever you play, your character has to fit into that. If you want to play a Chaotic Evil Asimar Necromancer, you need to come up with a reason why your character is part of the party.
