Dukes of Air

The Elemental Plane of Air is ruled by the Dukes of Air, also known as the Vaati. They are masculine blue-skinned elemental beings with a humanoid torso supported by a large puffy cloud. They hold domain in the Vale of Aaqa, a well-hidden paradise in the Elemental Plane of Air, and rarely leave. They are secretive, but highly regarded. They are Neutral Good demigods, and between them they hold domain over wind, Kenku, and Aarakocra. They share responsibility for each of these things equally, and do not specialize.
Their names are:

• Nadroc
• Qadeej
• Zosiel

Currently only Nadroc is still alive.  The others died during The Age of Mortality or shortly after from old age.  He is currently in the process of arranging elections to ensure the continuation of government.

History

The dukes come from a time before The Shattering, and legend has it that they were great heroes in that conflict, though details on what exactly they did are scarce. Few historical records survived The Shattering, and the surviving gods rarely discuss those times, or the events leading up to them. Sometime in the third century a few Kenku attempted to steal something from the dukes of air, who responded by forsaking their kind, and bestowing upon them four great curses.
