Amplo River

The current of the river is so gentle that you are tempted to take a dip to remove some of the dust of the road. One thing you are not tempted to do, however, is to make for the far shore, as the river is so wide that it is difficult to make out its details. If you weren’t expected at your destination, this would be a nice place to sink a line and nap, hoping for a bite. Maybe in the next life.

The wide river connecting Lake Desconhecida and Lake Lagrimas, marking the northern edge of the Volopin Woods. The river is almost half a mile wide at its widest point.
Many small settlements make use of the river as a source of water, and scattered homesteads dot the northern bank of the river. People are not the only inhabitants of the river though, as small and large beasts make equal use of the calm current to stay hydrated.
