Merlegos

A larger city is located towards the south end of the Carragá Mountains . Merlegos is a labyrinth of winding, narrow streets and dark alleys. High walls are protecting the city from outside attacks.

The population consists mostly of dwarves and humans, and some others.

Government

The city used to be run by a council called the Iron Order, but they have recently fallen from power and Akal Salari has taken power as a single ruler.

Defences

Merlegos is known as the Shield of Eshiesal because of its great defense. The entire city is surrounded by a massive stone wall on all sides.

Industry & Trade

The main economy of Merlegos comes from silver, copper, and iron which are mined from the south end of Carragá.

Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the city is dependent on where in the city you are. In the Sapphire district, roads cover the ground, while in the Ashen ward, there might some stone bricks on the ground. Merlegos has an extensive sewer system under the whole city.

Architecture

The city is a tight maze-like city with winding roads and alleyways that make it difficult to traverse for travelers that visit the city.

Geography

The city is located in between a mountain range that connects to the northern parts of the city. Some distance south of the city walls is a large lake known as Lake Lagrimas.

Merlegos has access to extensive farmlands and rich veins of ore from the mountains and plains close to the city.
