Session 62: Denivas Drama Report

General Summary

While Baradin Godchosen, Maro Rei 'Sky', and Omen ei' Taure discussed what they would do with Arten Veronica Lagurdo, possibly letting her stay in the group at least while they were in Niduin, Arten herself requested Eldon Caufield send a message to Maro saying she wanted to apologize and discuss the future.
Arten apologized for her actions, saying she needs to do better as an aspiring leader and protector of the innocent. She is willing to take any punishment, even her life. Though, if they were to take her life, she wished to send a letter to her family.
In return, Maro said he overreacted and also apologized. Arten responded that she believed his reaction was warranted and that he need not apologize. After this, they hugged and Eldon and Omen wiped individual tears of joy. Arten then let Maro hold onto her swords and she gave him the insignia of her rank, telling him to keep them until she felt she deserved them.
The party then discussed meeting with Leodan Luthinen and cast a Sending to meet him at the Golden Seas Bathhouse. Leodan then took them to his manor where he thanked them for taking care of the Collection tower and asked them about what they found. The party told him about the black Rukh and the connection to the Union of Love. Leodan then reiterated that they should try and remove the golden houses as soon as possible. He suggests the party either kill the members of the golden houses or find ways to prove that they have betrayed the people, starting with the weakest golden house: Denivas. The party asked further regarding Takemura Yoshiro's master and Leodan possibly bringing him back. After some threats from both sides, Leodan agreed to bring him back when the party returned from dealing with the Denivas house.
After discussing briefly how much they can trust Leodan, they returned to the Rust Monsters' hideout. There, Jaheira approached them and told them she needed to return to her people, the Fiodair Diondur and after thanking the party, she left. The party then spoke with Eleesa about infiltrating the Denivas manor and was told the rust monsters could arrange a distraction so they could get inside. Gideon then guided the party to the Denivas Manor. With some firework distractions from the Rust monsters, the party scaled the wall behind the manor and made their way into the courtyard.
In the courtyard, they spotted a knight observing from a window and decided to head the other way, towards a kitchen. After making his way around the kitchen, Maro opened the door, and as he did, he heard someone in the basement of the house. He promptly closed the door as they split around the building trying to remain quiet.
They waited around the building, hiding from the servant that was in the room. Eldon managed to deceive her and make her leave the premises by saying that Valera, who the party had learned was the head of the family, had ordered them to go watch the fireworks. They then checked downstairs and found a secret passage blocked by an adamantine sheet. Since they didn't manage to break through, they blocked the passage instead.
They then rounded the house and broke through a side entrance and walked into a storage room with a knight, ending the session.
