Catacombs of Qurothaq

Even by Marg’s standards, the cruelty and torture delivered upon slaves in this dungeon are legendary. The Qurothaq family sells slaves of all ordinary sorts, but they also offer slaves intended for use in dark rituals, slaves transformed into something beyond human, and slaves who were once important people before they needed to “disappear” and were sent to Marg in chains.
For the slave population of Marg, the threat of being sent to the Catacombs of Qurothaq is a worse fate than execution. Although the exact details of what goes on in the Catacombs are unknown outside the Qurothaq family and their retainers, even the few vague rumours that have surfaced are enough to terrify most Margish slaves into obedience.
The objectives behind the project in the catacombs are to provide the Qurothaq with another way to make money and increase their power and influence. Slaves are a plentiful resource in Marg and the Qurothaq have chosen to invest time and money in increasing the value of their stock. To this end they work to “improve” their slaves to make them more valuable.
