Adularia
Created six thousand years ago by Miriam Oresworth, a dwarf fleeing the curse that claimed the lives of most of the Andalusian Empire, Adularia is located deep within the twisting curves of the Spinel Mountain Range. Deep under treacherous rock where the sun isn't able to reach, dwarves and other like minded races were able to find safe keeping for hundreds of years before they decided to chance the surface again, finally becoming the wealthy country they are known as in the present day.
Structure
Adularia is run by the Stone Blessed, dwarves who are blessed with strong stone sense, but supported by the mining community, many of which have a weak stone sense.
Culture
Wealth and stone sense means the most, and those who are wealthy keep at least one person with stone sense on retainer. Even though none dwarves make up part of the population, and they aren't openly disciminated against, it is fairly obvious that dwarves are favored for jobs and positions of power.
History
Miriam Oresworth, a dwarven woman of great stone sense was born near the end of the Andalusian Empire. When those who rejected the Ancient Gods fell prey to the curse, she led her people to safety, following her stone sense deep into the bowels of the Spinel Mountain Chain, where she discovered a fully formed system of natural caverns ready to be turned into the Adularian Kingdom. It was nearly five hundred years before an Adularian ventured above the surface next.
Mythology & Lore
The stone sense of Miriam Oresworth guided the original settlers of Adularia to their underground home, and from their Vadeathra grrew the population by bringing forth life from stone forms and delivering new dwarven people to Adularia.
Political Influence & Intrigue
The divine favor of Vadeathra falls on those with powerful stone sense, and the more powerful the stone sense the more obviously the stone goddess favors you.
