Daybreak
Though the pirates are allied with Thraex, and fall under their rule, they also exist as an independent entity. An alliance of pirates existing under the shared name of Daybreak was created in order to parlay with Thraex, and still exists today. Their floating base, created by lashing together ships, is able to be moved from place to place, though it can most often be found farther North.
Structure
The captains of pirate ships hold the authority, and any captain can challenge the Daybreak Captain to a duel to the death in order to take his place. The Daybreak Captain is in charge of resolving disputes, dispersing treasure, and creating and maintaining alliances.
Culture
A major alliance of pirates, the Daybreak is full of gallivanting, brawling, and not a lot of discipline. Gold is split amongst crew depending on who did the work, decided upon by the captains of ships, and the Daybreak Captain oversees it all.
History
The Daybreak came together when Thraex approached the pirates individually trying to either create an alliance, or go to war. They decided only in coming together could they truly survive. Thus the Daybreak was formed and the pirates were stronger for it.
