Mandrake

Mandrake is the title given to someone who has graduated from all four schools in Favus. Mandrakes are given respect and admiration, with many citizens honoring them and many students looking up to them. Mandrakes are the only ones who have the ability to join the Cypress Council.

Qualifications

All four school in Favus must be graduated from in order to earn this title. However the order of graduation doesn't matter, nor does the amount of time taken. An elf who takes a hundred years to do this is treated the same as a human who does it in twenty.

Appointment

Upon graduating from their last school, they are given the title of Mandrake by a meeting of the entire Cypress Council at their last graduation ceremony. During this time the invitation to join the Cypress Council is also extended. This invitation has no expiration date. If they choose to reject this invitation, they can join at a later date.

Duties

Though a Mandrake has no official duties after graduation, they are expected to give back to the schools, whether through teaching or taking on the duties of a headmaster. If they do not do this, it is because they have either taken up a position with the Cypress Council, or because they are doing research.
