The Call
The creation of Papaver was an accident. After all, the frigid tundra with its creaking ice and half frozen soil was thought to be inhospitable. But it was not to be for a call went out in the early days after the fall of the Andalusian Empire. When the world had just been recreated some of the newly born beings felt within their very souls a pull. Their newly created bodies, born of soil and sun, had enough godly energy in them to feel, like a magnetic pole, the magical energy of this place and they responded to it like they were being drawn irresistibly towards it. Dwarves took secret tunnels out of Adularia. The humans, halflings, and gnomes abandoned their fields and walked to the edge of the sea, then built boats and travelled that way. Elves had not yet been created but after they felt the breath of Ibu'fen fill them some of them too felt this same call and responded in the same way.
They travelled north, till ice blocked their way and they had to walk. Some froze on this journey but still they continued. When they found the source of the Call they could only collapse and stare in wonder at the magical warmth that emanated from the oasis that somehow existed in the middle of this tundra. For Amrit called this place home, and when the world was born anew she called out for a family and the souls of her newly created children had answered.
Here they built Demetria, and from there the country of Papaver expanded outwards, and though Amrit never asked for much she is worshipped on the mantle of each house.
