Chronos

"In a period of time that we cannot begin to fathom, less than an instance for us demons with lifespans, and yet, what is to Chronos an eternity, they emerged. Yes, for the Primordial that holds the Mantle of Time itself, eternities can have quantitative definitions."   - Avernia, Kiin'tel. An Introduction to the 5 Primordials
Chronos has, is, and always will be. It is still unclear, even after eons of pondering of Elder Demons and Archangels, if Chronos is a product of the Universe or if they are truly from outside of it. Is Chronos a mere concept that manifested like the Great Devil and God themselves, or is Chronos something more? Something infinite.   The Ancient tales of the Myths of Creation tell that Chronos was the first emerged from the Singularity Bursting. As such, Chronos is the first of the 5 Primordials, and in turn, the very first deity to exist in the Universe. It is theorized that Chronos emerged in the small fraction of time from whence the Universe was still as one with all concepts. That, when time itself as a mere concept split from all other concepts, grew into a mind of sentience itself.   This one mind, giver of purpose and meaning to all things physical, bestowed upon itself a mantle, a responsibility to see the Universe move ever forwards. And just with their very existence, Chronos's power allows all things to exist backwards, in stillness, and forwards. Without Chronos and the Mantle of Time, there would be no purpose.   But, this also begs the question. Will Chronos ever grow tired of this Universe? Will time...ever become meaningless?
