The Devoured Islands of Time
Discovery
Kii'rumiiriishin, The Devoured Islands of Time in the Elder language, was supposedly lost when the Primordial Ancient Niil'zinkuv devoured the islands. However, in the mortal year 1932, when a trade ship went missing, the islands were found by a search party in a corner of the world unexplored. Several hundred miles south of the Realm of Gluttony, the islands were found, covered in a dense and ominous fog.
We entered the fog and thought nothing of as usual. That was until the fog thickened so densely we couldn't see our sister ships . The radio began to fail then the lights. Anything that was electric or relied on magnetism just went crazy. Our compasses all started spinning out of control.
We'd had enough. We turned 'round and sailed for about thirty minutes until we could see the horizon once more. We were the only ones that emerged from the fog. We tried searching with our spiritualists, but not even the faintest trace of mana residue could be felt. It was as if the others never even went in.

Islands Shrouded in Darkness
Since the rediscovery of the islands, no one has been able to map them for one reason: everyone who has ever tried to land on the island has disappeared without any trace. The islands indeed exist and can be seen from neighboring islands and ships on the water. However, the islands are always shadowed, even on the brightest days. Barring the fog, which occasionally does dissipate, the islands remain in complete darkness.
The islands are shrouded in such darkness that they appear as mere dark spots, even with satellite imaging. Some have speculated that somewhere on the island exists something that is casting
Umbra Elemental magic to keep the islands as such purposely. Others speculate that the islands are a "living" reality rift that has managed to avoid the natural laws of time; that the islands are xisting between past and present.
Either way, all who have dared to travel into the fog that covers the islands all share the same fate of never returning.

Being that I'm late to Summer Camp, this article may be a bit messy, and is still a heavy WIP.
