The Great Devil (Zan'nal'takriin) Lore

Father of Demons, Holder of the Mantle of Entropy & Chaos

"Nal'kran krii kal miir'iin nii eri'krul, nal'miri kan pa'shul. Ish'niriin, sha'ziil nul nu miir nol yul'tal mul...paz umun nai eri'n, lu'miir an ish'niriin, Zan'nal'takriin."   "And from the very heats from the singularity burst, a force of disorder. Chaos unfolds and into existence...our all father, mantle wielder of Chaos, The Great Devil."   - Avernia, Kiin'tel. An Introduction to the 5 Primordials

Zan'nal'takriin

Zan'nal'takriin, The Great Devil in the Elder Demon language, he who wields the Mantle of Chaos and Entropy and all concepts pertaining to them, is the the 2nd Emerged of the 5 Primordials.   The Great Devil emerged shortly after Chronos, while the newborn universe was still in complete and utter chaos. And when Chronos discovered this new sentient mind, Chronos gave unto this mind the name of Chaos. Naturally, Chaos was attuned to the chaotic nature of the universe at the time after the Singular Burst event, thus the Mantle of Chaos and Entropy was formed, and to be ever wielded by this one Primordial. For an age to beings with lifespans, but no more than moments for the two Primordials, they conversed of the Universe, still dark, no light, allowing the Universe to be. No intervention, allow the Universe to be in complete disorder as it grows. That would be until a new concept would emerge.

First Light & Ri'ful'dan

First Light, an event in which a flash of wondrous light illuminated the entire Universe for a brief moment is when the 3rd emerged. A sentient mind imprisoned within the darkness, escaping in the flash of light, joining Chronos and Chaos in discussion of universal creation. With it's escape a new mantle was formed: Order.   Ri'ful'dan, God in the English language, his first spoken words opposing the idea of allowing the Universe to simply be. This idea was a direct challenge to Chaos, but Chronos was much more open to reason and wondered at God's idea. Chaos, seeing that God was challenging his ideals, refused to reason. It was God that called Chaos a "Great Devil," (in the Primordial language). The beginning of an eternal fighting of ideals. Nevertheless, the three Primordials conversed, God and Chaos arguing, meeting at stalemates at every point and Chronos acting as a mediator between them.

Enigmas

After an age of getting nowhere, a new mind emerged. Rather, it seemingly formed from the darkness of the Universe. An enigma, The Great Enigma, who then threatened both God and Chaos that if they do not come to a resolution, that he shall himself collapse the entire Universe. The wielder of that which holds the Universe together through sheer force: The Great Enigma, wielder of the Mantle of Gravity.   Almost immediately thereafter did Chaos stop the arguing with God. And in doing so, the final mind emerged. The Fifth as it is known to all others save the other four Primordials. In truth, no one knows what Mantle the fifth wields. But this fifth Primordial revealed to all the greatest power known: Creation. But this power of Creation could only be performed when all Five were together once more, and willing to work as one. Reluctantly, Chaos decided to work with the rest of the Primordials, even God to begin their universal creation.

Primordial Manifestation & Universal Creation

During the event which was Primordial Manifestation, the event when the 5 Primordials except The Fifth took forms of ethereal wisps, Chaos took form a dark crimson red with a black center. Shortly following did universal creation begin.   During Universal Creation, for a time did Chaos work well with the others, creating particles at first. Chaos would then destroy many particles in act of complete randomness. To God's anger, he called Chaos a Great Devil once more in the Primordial tongue. Chaos reveled in this name and decided he to take this name for good. Thus Chaos renamed himself to The Great Devil.   And The Great Devil's act of randomness did not go without reward, for his destruction of the many particles birthed new particles. And once the particles became even more complex, eventually becoming fabrics created of strings of massive numbers of combined particles, did they take true physical form. The Great Devil decided to act once more, this time setting these new physical, complex particles into conflict with each other. Remnants of the destruction of these particles, the consequences of the Great Devil's actions, provided even more new material for the 5 to work once more.   After a short council it was decided that these new materials should be left alone, much to The Great Devil's liking. Something mesmerizing then occurred. The new materials were acting of their accord, combining and forming new fabrics that the 5 had yet to create. The Great Devil reveled in this idea that this could happen on a grander scale if the Universe was left alone. Naturally, God opposed this idea and then left the fundamentals grand workshop. Much to the Great Devil's liking, it was now evident that the Universe could self-sustain itself, not needing the direct intervention of the 5.   Shortly thereafter, the first stars were born and in turn the emergence of the Elementals.

Birthing of Demons & Infernus

With the Elementals now shaping the Universe with the help of the Primordials, The Great Devil found himself less occupied. After many ages, with the Universe now filled with light and The Great Devil taking corporeal form, to break his boredom, The Great Devil decided to create his own plane. But The Great Devil knew that even he would struggle to create a new Realm of his own. After much effort, The Great Devil created an image of himself. But this image was only in mind, very much like him. Physically, this image took a much different form. The Great Devil looked in awe and gave unto it a name: Evii'iliz (name literally meaning female in the Ancient Demon Language).   For a time The Great Devil and Evii'iliz began the creation of a new realm. But The Great Devil's work would be interrupted when God began to gain the support of many Elementals. The Great Devil had no choice but leave his work. Before leaving, Evii'iliz seduced The Great Devil, telling him to let her do the rest for him. And so The Great Devil impregnated Evii'iliz. Evii'iliz would then bear and birth the children of her and The Great Devil. The first line of demons: The Ancients.   It was Evii'iliz and the Ancients that did most of the work of creating the new realm. For an entire age did they work. The realm itself would not be completed until Age of Cosmic Habitation ended. This is when the The Great Devil returned for the last time for another age. Still incomplete, but a realm nonetheless, The Great Devil acknowledged what the Ancients had done. He then gave the Realm the name of In'vurnuu (Infernus).   It was also at this time that God and the Elementals had begun to create their own realms in an already prospering Universe. A new problem arose. With many realms, even Chronos began to struggle to travel between realms and called a council of all deities.

The Crossroads

With many realms under creation, it was decided by Chronos, The Fifth, and The Great Enigma that the all deities work together to create a realm that could connect all realms. For the final time, all deities worked once more to link realms into a single point. But this point would be neutral, meaning no fighting would be allowed between deities. Much to the The Great Devil's dissent, he linked Infernus to the Crossroads.

After the Creation Eon

The completion of the Crossroads marked end of the Creation Eon. At this point the Universe was self-sustaining with no intervention from any deity. The Great Devil returned to Infernus to find a thriving Realm. The Great Devil was met with reverance from Evii'iliz and the Ancients. The Great Devil could finally rule his realm and lead it through the next eon.
