Alpha Centauri

Alpha Centauri is the triple star system closest to Sol at 4.37 lightyears. It is the first and only system colonized by humans. It consists of the stars Rigil Kentaurus and Toliman forming a binary system, and Proxima Centauri orbiting the pair further away.
