The Elderage
Of who made them, all have knowledge. In the time before, Athrune The First, set to fire the void from which all other beings did emerge. Athrune died during the event, her body scattered across the void like gemstones dropped upon a black velvet cloth. Vrol took her sister's place and in her grief and loneliness she ripped from the flames the light of new life. She named them, Eldara, The First People.
The Second did separate the Eldara, of which there numbered as many as an anger of spark and fire, and she gave unto each a name. Within the void and light of her perished sister, the Eldara brought comfort to Vrol and all was thought well. As Vrol passed, the Eldara lost their way among the dark places, searching for their charge and never finding her, as she scattered too. Her body became all of the solid places within the void, as constant as grief.
The Elderage exist between spaces and they extend themselves into an infinite that mortals do not comprehend. They can only be contacted through bide stones, the use of which is governed by the Abidement.
The Elderage cannot be seen for very long as they cannot hold their forms without expending an incredible amount of power. It's unknown what the source of this power is, whether it comes directly from the stones or from some other place.
When they have been seen by others they take on nightmarish forms. It seems that they can control their representation, but most often they choose not to, morphing in and out of shapes at random, much in the same way that coral reacts to waves in the ocean.
Basic Information
Anatomy
They are amorphous and often intangible taking on many forms and sometimes changing their form to suit their mood. They exist in a liminal space which may or may not be occupied by others of their kind. The Elderage all have the same light producing organs that hover about their form. These are attached to rods that connect with the rest of the body. The light they produce can vary in color.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
The Elderage achieve many wonders inside of their own liminal space, but if they step into our world they cannot retain their forms. They are beings, at best guess built of mind and magic, that have the ability to reach outside of their prisons for a short time to communicate with the outside world, as long as a bide stone is present to complete the bridge.
