Mythain (Myth-a-ien)

General

(Also known as "Spark") This omnicolorful, glowing material that naturally forms underground. This material can be used in many different forms, but it is found in its unrefined, solid form in rocks. These materials seem to "grow" out of rocks, and can appear in any environment that has a high concentration of Weave.

Mythain sometimes holds magical properities upon it's formation, and its crystal outside is almost always clear. What makes the crystal glow is it's magical type, which has multiple ways of forming in a piece of Mythain. The first is the easiest, the Mythain forms in a magically dense environment, thus it forms with a certain magic imbued in it. The second is by an individual funneling magic into the crystal, thus the Mythain adopts the properities of that magic.

To remove the current magical power inside the mythain, one must overpower the current magic residing inside of it. Either by funneling one's own magical essence into the material, or by releasing the energy residing inside. The energy inside can go critical if too much is put into the material, causing a magical explosion of all the magical types stored. If the structure is able to be destroyed while holding magic, all of the stored magic releases similarly to the previous line.

Mythain can be molded into armor, weapons, and ammunition of all varities. Often times, Mythain can be infused into jewelry and garments for enchanting or fashion purposes. The Mythain must be heated incredibly hot, needing to reach 3000+ degrees Celsius. It requires a lot of force to crack Mythain, but usually Mythain vs Adamantium causes it to break and eventually shatter/go critical.

Many magical studies performed by the Hall of Scribes detail that the appearance of Mythain has been present throughout history, but recently the levels of discovered and manipulated Mythain has been dramatically increased. The Hall has come to the conclusion that the general populace is getting more attuned to the Weave, and magical devices/machines are becoming more commonplace.
