Amyr Gildenguard "The Portrait of Prominence"
Amongst merchants, traders, travelers and auctioneers...no name rings more loudly than Amyr Gildenguard. A handsome, sturdy, smooth talking man, Amyr is the pinnacle of medieval fame in the realm of Prototokos. Amyr has amassed a great abundance of wealth, connections, fame and luxurious items. His very appearance shows what wealth can buy, even the swagger in which he presents himself is both confident and mesmerizing. All these very details have granted Amyr the name "The Portrait of Prominence", a name that almost all know or have at least heard tales of. Its not exactly clear how "The Portrait of Fame" came into wealth in the first place, although it is believed it was through inheritance, which he than managed to slowly build upon. Rumors also say that he stumbled across a large abandoned dragon hoard in his early years, and has used that wealth to ascend his fame in the land, or perhaps magic, which Amyt has been known to dabble in. Of course this is all speculation, but what is clear about Amyr is his influence among all buyers, sellers and traders in Sterling. Amyr owns a substantially large palace on the outskirts of Sterling he calls "The Collideascope". Many travelers and tourists frequent the outer banks of Sterling just to catch a glimpse of the grand mansion. An incredibly grand structure, built in the middle of a massive 10 acre courtyard. This gated establishment is heavily guarded, but does allow travelers to trek the courtyard during the daylight hours, providing they pay a fee or provide a stamped "Ticket of Touring". On the night of December 31, a massive masquerade takes place within the walls of the mansion, a grand gala that Amyr himself hosts to any who can afford the price of entry. All are encouraged to bring a mask in for an unforgettable celebration of feast, entertainment and lust. This once a year event is known as "True Intentions" and has become another notch in the belt of fame and legend of Amyr.

This large party is not the only influence Amyr has on Sterling... See Amyr enjoys collecting wonderous and exotic items as well. The more rare the item, the more interested Amyr becomes, almost salivating to possess it along with know every secret and detail about the object. This leads Amyr to paying top dollar to those who would seek out and collect these sensational items for his own personal collection. Often contracting out many different bands of treasure seekers and adventurers to do his bidding. This relentless pursuit of valuables, and very deep pockets have allowed Amyr to have many connection across the entire realm. Everyone from merchants and traders, to gamblers and gangsters, to wealthy and noble. Many times, it is said that Amyr has these fortunes retrieved so that he may sell them at the highest bid to help maintain his wealth, and he can be seen doing so at the auction stage. This cycle of "Find Riches, Sell Riches" had kept Amyr both popular and wealthy.
But if you were to ask Amyr of all his prized possessions, what is his most valuable item he would swiftly answer my "Essence of Beauty" my "Vision of Serenity"...Sheera Selakiir. Sheera is a beautifull, quiet female companion of Amyr, and very easy on the eyes. The first detail that all notice of Sheera is her soft, sunkissed skin and all the colorful tattoos that her body bares. With her exotic headdresses and fine clothing, it's easy to see why Amyr glows when talking of his gorgeous Sheera. Very little is known of Sheera, and her origins are unknown, but what rumors are said, are often spoke in secrecy. For Amyr is extremely protective of Sheera, and always keeps a watchful eye on her. When any ask the details of Sheera, Amyr replies "One would not give out the combination of his safe, now would he...?". Amyr believes that to keep his social status and maintain his ceiling of fame, he must have a female companion at his side that is his equal. And simply based on appearance, Sheera delivers, creating a very goddess like comparison. Because of this tight noose that Amyr keeps on his "Vision of Serenity", little it truly known of her past, but many stories circle the streets and taverns of Sterling. This gossip creates an even deeper fascination for Amyr Gildengaurd "The Portrait of Prominence"...
