Prototokos

Welcome to Prototokos, the first realm created by cosmic beings and Gods to show a truce of powers, an ancient peace treaty. The realm was designed to see if all beings could live in harmony under these new circumstances and rule. During the creation of Prototokos, it was determined by both Powers that an annual day of serenity would occur to secure balance. This day became known as "The Brightening". The two Powers placed 12 shrines on the realm, 6 Cosmic shrines and 6 Celestial shrines. Every 365 days, the shrines would release a beam of light into the eternity of space, creating a blanket of bright, beautiful rainbow like color over the entire realm, which would be observed and felt by all existing life. Lasting for 24 hours, "The Brightening", would fill the realm with peace, serenity, harmony, hope and restore positive energy to all living matter. This annual event would keep the balance between good and evil, darkness and light, the living and the dead, between heaven and hell, and more importantly the two powers. During this event, plant life would flourish, water would purify, illnesses would subdue and love would be discovered. In the weeks leading up to The Brightening, a realm wide celebration would occur. With the many races and inhabitants performing their own signs of gratitude to The Brightening. The dwarves would drink, the elves would meditate, the humans would parade, the dragons could be heard screaming towards the stars, even the goblins would sacrifice poultry in hopes to show their appreciation of this day. Balance would restore to Prototokos briefly for this day. But nearly 500 years ago, The Brightening was lost, the day came, the celebration rituals happened, all were welcoming to this day of hope...but nothing... No beam of light, no surrounding energy of balance, no Brightening. With this sudden loss of peace, a sense of bleak fell over Prototokos. With all races blaming the other.... The humans claim the dwarves drink all year and the significance was lost, the elves say the humans do not pray to the deity's enough to keep faith and the dwarves believe the elves view themselves above all. This would lead to violence, war, and open gateways for the dark races of the planet to seek their means of living. This new age has been named "The Shadow". Although a cloud of darkness has shrouded Prototokos, there are still some who seek the return of The Brightening. Showing their faith to the two Powers, as they continue celebrating and praying, and more importantly, holding onto hope.
