The Hidden Shrine of Epta

The Hidden Shrine of Epta, the first shrine ever discovered in the new realm. The shrine of Epta was found during the 17th year after the birth of Prototokos deep within the "Monsoon Region". Receiving the alias "hidden" after a group known as "The First Explorers" claimed that all their navigation devices both mundane and magical failed to operate. The exploration of the area was said to have taken 3 weeks and covered well over 250 miles.   *The following a passage from the journal of Relmir Argthway, the lead explorer of The First Explorers*   Entry 76: Sitting quietly under a canopy of freshly rain covered trees laid this mark of creation. A perfectly sculpted, serene stone doorway atop a natural rock staircase revealed itself. My heart is at peace, this feeling is like none I have felt before. The meager troubles of our long endeavor are meaningless today. Tears stream down the face of my comrades...we share this fulfillment. The archway was welcoming to our group, it embraced us and we embraced it. A true sight for all...this is the way...this is the truth. All praise the United Eternals... Are we worthy of such a sanctuary?   The First Explorers were unable to enter the stone doorway, despite many efforts, the secrets behind the archway were not revealed. Perhaps they did not possess the ability to do so, or maybe Relmir Argthway was correct in his assessment of unworthiness. In another entry from Argthway's journal he says they ran low on supplies and would head south to the beach city "Coast Run". There they would document their finds and tell the locals of their journey as they planned to revisit the area.   Entry 112: The tale of our discovery is echoing through the coastal people's, and it still echoes through us as well. It never ages, no matter the number of times I repeat it. I'm still in disbelief that such a beautiful relic could even exist, and even more unlikely...we are the first to lay eyes. Although we could not access this oasis of the gods, we now have our purpose. We believe it is our duty to spread the word of these shrines, and uncover this hope for all to know. Until my dying day, my heart will beat for this cause...   There are no recordings of Epta ever being entered, nor are there any maps detailing the exact location. Remaining hidden from the masses has made this shrine become more full of myth the most other shrines stories. What is not hidden is that the discovery would spark faith for many and lead to the uncovering of another 9 shrines.
