Thome the Eternal
Description
The Legend of Thome the Eternal dates back to the age of the first men of Sephra, where the legend was first told. However, there are no historical records of such a knight or of any of the events told in any of the stories, which change depending on who is telling them.Summary
The stories vary from storyteller to storyteller, but they all share similar aspects; a Knight named Thome lost the love of his life to a great evil and made a pact with a God of the Twilight Pantheon to help him defeat this evil, and in return, the God wanted the soul of his first born son. After Thome avenged his beloved, he vowed to never marry and never sire a child, thus leaving his part of the bargain unfulfilled. The god, who had been tricked by the mortal, placed a curse on the Knight which forced him to relive the event again and again at the end of each age, until the debt has been paid. It is also said that those who help him finish his neverending quest may call upon him in their hour of need. The last time he was seen was during the Orc invasion of Sephra, by the great hero Argosius, who assisted the man and even attempted to lay his soul to rest.
Spread
The legend is told by all Sephrans across the entire continent, as it is the oldest and most popular tale among children.
