After following the Aeadin sailors, the Frostborn arrived at Vor Thurum and saw the bloodshed and carnage of a large scale war. Undeterred, the massive host of savage men cut their way through Vor Thurum and unknowingly assisted in surrounding the remainder of Velxus' forces, winning back the home of the Dwarves on their behalf. During the final battle, however, the commander of the Aeadin army, Vorkas Syn, escapes and flees to Olnore to inform his master of the new enemy. As thanks for their timely arrival and assistance, the Dwarves swore an eternal allegance with the men and showed them the art of smithing and brewing, to the men's delight.
