"As the Aeadin mariners conducted their watchful rounds, they encountered a company of Frostborn fishermen navigating their vessels along the icy shores. With warm salutations, they extended a hand of fellowship and proposed a covenant between the two kindreds." -Aegersol Codex, Book 4
Near the end of the era, a fleet of Aeadin soldiers come across a group of Frostborn fishermen just off the coast of the Eternal Frost, an area they were unaware existed. Impressed by the well crafted ships and stature of the soldiers, the Frostborn agree to take the Aeadin to their leaders. During the journey, the Frostborn inform the soldiers that they would need to take a twelve day detour around holy land surrounding a shine to their god of life. Not wanting to add more time to their side venture, the soldiers decide to ignore the Frostborn and walk through the holy land. The fishermen stay silent through the rest of the trip. Once arriving at the central village, the fishermen inform the leaders of their insult to Nerthus, which sends them into a rage. However, they give the Aeadin a chance to apologize, but they refuse, calling their god "weak to the might of Velxus," believing that the Frostborn would be open to a new god. By the end of the day, the Aeadin soldiers that were taken to the village were horrifically killed, their skins used for banners and their heads used as trophies. An army of Frostborn warriors arrived on the coast to meet the fleet in battle, leaving a graveyard of Aeadin ships in their wake.
